Dear Friend of the Fox Playhouse,

We’re still here! After a two-year shutdown due to the pandemic, we look to you, our supporters, during our annual appeal campaign as we continue to recover from numerous pandemic-related challenges. Times have been tough for all businesses. While shut down and without any income, bills continued to accrue. We, as owners of the Fox Playhouse, faced monthly utility bills, yearly insurance premiums and other expenditures that come with maintaining a 100+ year old structure. The exterior wall on the south side of the building was eroding and required new siding; during a power outage, all the stage light bulbs  were destroyed and had to be replaced; and during a hailstorm this past spring, more than 1,200 light-bulbs on our historic “Fox” marquee were broken. All those expenses depleted much of our savings.

Many theaters across the country never recovered from the pandemic. It’s our hope that you support us financially since we can’t maintain The Fox on ticket revenue alone.

With our 50-year anniversary in our sights, we are determined as never before to continue bringing you quality entertainment just as we have since 1973.

Remaining optimistic, this past spring, we reopened our doors with Einstein and the Polar Bear by Tom Griffin and directed by Al Fenske. Now, we are pleased to announce an exciting season of plays for 2022-2023. Our current season began when director Richard Daut brought us Suite Surrender by Michael McKeever in October, followed by The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s production of A Christmas Carol by David McGillivray/Walter Zerlin Jr., and directed by Michael Denison in December, The Nerd by Larry Shue and directed by Milly Hall March 2-5 with our season closer being the much-anticipated The Beverly Hillbillies by David Rogers and directed by Samantha Hartman May 11-14.

Our goals for the upcoming year include:
